Ben Offereins
Ben Offereins is the current Australian Champion having claimed the title on his home track in April 2010. It was the second time he has won his national championship having previously won the crown in 2005.
After an undefeated domestic season he was named Athletics Australia’s Male Athlete of the Year for 2009/10.
In 2009 he was a part of the Australian 4x400m relay squad that claimed Bronze at the World Championships in Berlin.
With a 400m personal best of 44.86 run at the Sydney Track Classic in March 2010, beating a field that included Olympic Bronze medalist David Neville in the process, Offereins is a serious threat at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
